Derby County Head Coach Steve McClaren says he's "so proud of the players and the fans, who have been superb all season", after QPR beat the Rams 1-0 in the Championship Play-off Final at Wembley.

“I said before the game if the team was ready we would go up. Obviously we weren’t ready and we’ve had to go through this cruel ending to our season.
“I am so proud of the players and the fans, who have been superb all season.
“The players have achieved so much in a short space of time. They’ve been a pleasure to work with for seven months and their maturity has impressed me.
“We kept our style of play today, nothing phased us but it wasn’t to be and I can’t explain what happened at the end. It was one or two mistakes and we got exposed and our patience didn’t pay off."
Derby dominated for significant spells against QPR but were hit with what they describe as a 'heartbreaking end to the season', after a 90th minute winner from Bobby Zamora.
McClaren's now urging the club to 'bounce back and come back stronger in 2014/15'.
“The old clichés will come out now but those words are the case. We have to come back stronger and I know we will.
“Right now we’re hurting and it will do for the next few weeks until we come back for next season. I am sure on reflection everyone will reflect on a great season, but the ending wasn’t how we wanted it to be.”
