There is astroturf on the floor in place of carpet, England flags and bunting cover every wall, and a life-size cut out of Roy Hodgson stands at the window...

I've always decorated the house when the world cup comes round, but this year I decided to really go for it. I'm just grateful my wife lets me get away with it.

Ben's wife Toni said:

People think I'm a saint to let him do it, but its only for a few weeks, and the kids love it. I do think the astro turf was a bit much though.

But whilst she says she expected the football themed memorabilia, she admits she did not expect him to go quite so far...

The children - 8-year-old Charlie and 4-year-old Lucy - love their new look living room and described it as 'cool'.
