The weekend gets off to a dull and rainy start - but it will get a bit better as we move through the day.

Drier and brighter weather will spread from the west as we head into the afternoon, with only the occasional isolated showers expected at times.

Maximum temperature 20C (68F).

As for tomorrow, it will stay unsettled, with bright and sunny spells broken up by heavy showers. There could be a bit of thunder too - and if you’re in the East Midlands, prepare yourself for hail as well.

More rain is likely to spread across the region later Monday and into Tuesday.
