Five chihuahua puppies stolen from a home in Birmingham could die unless they are reunited with their mother in the next 24 hours.
Owner, Charlotte Bates from Tyseley, says they need their mother's milk to survive, and one of the three-week-olds - Kim - also needs medication as she is partially sighted.
Raiders kicked down the front door of the Rushey Lane property on Tuesday and took the dogs and £400 from a wallet. CCTV footage shows two men jumping over the back fence to get away.
Their mother Millie is being treated at a vets for shock. Owner Charlotte has already pushed flyers through doors hoping somebody will come forward.
I want all five brought back safe and sound but I am particularly worried about Kim, the blind one.
I named her after my mum who died three years ago and want to keep her. What has happened is terrible, absolutely terrible. I haven’t eaten or slept since it happened.
Millie is very, very distressed. Yesterday she began bleeding and the vet said that’s because of shock. The puppies must miss her terribly.
If I was honest, I’m not confident of finding them alive. Unless these idiots know how to hand-rear them, they have only hours.’
