A man from Birmingham who has 90% of his body covered in tattoos, and was denied a passport after changing his name to 'King of Ink Land King Body Art The Extreme Ink-Ite', says he expects one to arrive next week.
The 34-year-old, who was previously known as Mathew Whelan but is now called 'Body Art' for short, was denied a passport in February because he changed his name by deed poll four years ago.
He was told at the time he must use his birth name, which he claimed was an infringement of his human rights.
However today he Tweeted ITV News Central - saying:
Back in Feburary, Body Art came into the ITV News Central studio, and explained he'd spent more than £25,000 covering himself in tattoos, which includes his eyeball which is died black.
