A West Midlands PCSO has been jailed for two years for carrying out illegal searches on force IT systems and leaking confidential information to a convicted drug dealer.
Andrew Thompson, who served in Sandwell, admitted giving sensitive intelligence over a 12 month period to a woman he had a relationship with, along with her husband.
He would pass the information to husband and wife Barry and Marie Parkes in a local pub, who would then relay it to convicted drug dealer Brian Baker in exchange for cash.
59-year-old Brian Baker was given information which included intelligence logs, custody images and personal details about other criminals across the West Midlands.
Brian Baker, was sentenced to two-years and eight-months, which he will serve on top of a seven-year jail term he’s already serving.
Marie Parkes was handed a two-year suspended sentence.
Barry Parkes was sentenced to two-years and three-months.
Thompson will now also face internal gross misconduct proceedings.
