A man from Birmingham who car-jacked an Audi with a toddler inside has been jailed for more than seven years.
Lee Southall, of no fixed address, pretended to flag down the car to ask for directions in Francis Road in Stechford last September.
As the driver pulled over and opened his window Southall punched him in the face and sprayed him with an unknown substance before grabbing the keys and driving off. The driver and his partner were left at the roadside.
The 39-year-old stopped the car down the road to drop off the toddler who was in the car.
Southall got away with the car and it was never recovered.
At Birmingham Crown Court Southall was jailed for seven and a half years with an extended licence period of four years.
