Controversial plans to expand Europe's largest distribution park have been approved following a public meeting.

The development at Magna Park in Leicestershire was approved in January but officials were told to rethink the proposals after it emerged planners hadn't considered the potential impact on a protected heritage site.

Developers say the new warehouse for delivery company DHL will create 1200 new jobs but campaigners have fought against the plans arguing the site is big enough.

Councillors at Harborough District Council approved the proposals following discussions at a public meeting near Lutterworth.
