One unlucky person could be about to lose out on claiming £50,000 on the lottery as a winning ticket is due to expire tomorrow.
National Lottery’s search for the missing Lotto Millionaire Raffle ticket which was bought in Birmingham is still on going.
People are being urged to check everywhere, including in their bags and underneath their sofas, for the ticket marked GOLD 7789 3704.
The missing ticket was part of a one-off Team GB-inspired draw which took place on 27 August 2016.
The draw was a chance for 27 people to become millionaires to reflect the gold medal haul won in Rio by our athletes.
In addition, 17 additional prizes of £50,000, of which the Birmingham prize was one, to match the bronze medals were also up for grabs.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said: “We’re eager to find Birmingham’s mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life."
If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
