A clear-up operation has begun to remove more than a hundred tonnes of stinking rubbish dumped in a country lane near Yoxall in Staffordshire.
The mountain of household waste was discovered on a track near the A515 on Friday afternoon. Local residents say they're disgusted.
East Staffordshire Borough Council is footing the £2000 bill to clear it up. Today the rubbish was still steaming, and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are warning of the risk of fire from such dumping incidents, and the potential health hazard.
Meanwhile, the Environment Agency and the police are continuing their investigations to trace the fly-tippers responsible.
