A man has been injured after a BMW smashed into his living room wall, hitting the settee where he was lying watching TV.

It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, when the white car smashed through the wall of the house on Castle Road in Selly Oak.

26-year-old Amin Jalili has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital and is said to be ‘in shock’.

Detectives are now trying to trace the driver of the car.

Nastaran Jalili, Amin's brother, says,

It was unbelievable. He was shocked. He had pain in the neck and back.

Everyone came out and my neighbour called the ambulance. The ambulance took my brother to the hospital.
