A male rape victim is DJing non-stop this weekend to encourage other survivors of sexual assault to get help.

Sam Thompson was attacked by two men in a hotel after he became separated from his friend on a night out in September 2016.

The 22-year-old is now performing live on an internet radio station for 48 hours straight.

The brave music enthusiast hopes that by sharing his story, other victims will feel comfortable in coming forward.

I know first hand how difficult it is to take this [first] step, but I hope by sharing my story and by raising awareness through this mix I can turn a big negative in my life in to something positive, by helping others to speak out and seek support.

I want us male survivors to stand together to show it is ok to get upset and it's ok to admit that we can be victims of such crimes.
