CCTV released in search for missing girl

West Mercia Police has released an image of a man they wish to speak to following the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl.

Cindy Worthington went missing from the Redditch area at around 9pm on Monday, a girl who officers believe to be Cindy was spotted on CCTV with the man prior to being reported missing.

Detective Sergeant Tim Macrae said:

"As part of work to locate Cindy we have tried to trace some of her movements prior to her being reported missing on Monday. The CCTV footage was taken at around 1am on Monday morning at the Edward Elgar statue on High Street, Worcester. We're keen to identify this man as we believe he may have information that could help us to locate Cindy."

"We're extremely concerned for Cindy's welfare and are urging anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts to contact us as a matter of urgency. We believe she may have left the area and has been known to travel widely, with connections around the country. We're keen for this appeal to be shared as far and wide as possible."

Police say if anyone recognises the man or sees Cindy or knows of her whereabouts they should call 101 and quote incident 800s of 14 August 2017.
