Wolves' hopes of making it to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup have been dashed, after they lost to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The match was decided on a penalty shoot out after no one scored initially. The final score was 4-0.

Leo Bonatini scored for Wolves, but Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo fended off attempts from Alfred N’Diaye’s and Conor Coady.

Wolves tweeted to say they were proud of their players, staff and the 6,000 fans who had travelled to Manchester.

Leicester City fared better, winning 3-1 at home against Leeds United.

Despite Leeds scoring first, the hosts drew one back in the first half, before second half goals from Islam Slimani and substitute Riyad Mahrez sealed the win for the Foxes. They are now through to the quarter finals of the competition.
