Fenced-off car branded a 'complete joke' by residents

Residents in Derby have been left angered by an abandoned car sitting in King George V Playing Fields in Littleover.

They say that they reported the incident to Derby City Council over two months ago, but instead of having the car removed, metal gates were erected around the vehicle with secured locks on them.

It's reported that vandals have smashed the windscreen, windows and lights, as well as stamping on its roof and letting down the tyres.

It's believed that the abandoned car has now been removed.

Nobody at Derby City Council was available for comment.
