Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, from West Midlands Police's homicide unit, said:

We understand up to 50 people may have been at the party at some stage each of those is likely to have important information that can help our inquiry.

We believe there was a fight at some stage and that has ultimately led to a young man losing his life.

I would also urge the person responsible to do the right thing and get in touch so that we can hear their side of the story.

This is a tragic loss of life and our thoughts are with Rezwan's family and friends who are understandably shocked and distraught at what has happened.
