West Midlands Police Detective Inspector Ian Wilkins said:

We believe there was a fight at some stage and that has ultimately led to a young man losing his life.

Up to 50 people may have been at the party at some stage − and each of those is likely to have important information that can help our enquiry.

They may feel that because a number of people have been arrested it is the end of the matter. It’s not…and we need to hear from them. I would also urge the person responsible to do the right thing and get in touch so that we can hear their side of the story.

This is a tragic loss of life and our thoughts are with Rezwan’s family and friends who are understandably shocked and distraught at what has happened.
