Thousands of football fans honour Cyrille Regis

Thousands of football fans have honoured the former Coventry footballer, Cyrille Regis, who died last Sunday aged 59.

Sky Blues fans began today's match against Swindon Town with a minute's applause to remember Regis who played more than 200 games for the club.

Players wore black armbands as a tribute to him and a memorial book was put on display in the stand for fans to sign.

He was also signed for West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and Wycombe Wanderers.
