Edgbaston in Birmingham has been chosen as a host venue for the Ashes series in 2023.

Both stadiums will serve as host in the finals for the following:

  • 3 One-Day Internationals
  • 3 international T20s

Trent Bridge missed out on the chance to stage an Ashes Test in either of the next two series.

The Nottingham ground will, however, take over from Lord's as the venue for the domestic One-Day Cup final from 2020, the ECB has confirmed.

It will also host Test matches in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024.

Edgbaston and Trent Bridge will also host matches for a new T20 competition which begins in two years' time.
