"We'd like to speak to the driver of a Royal Mail vehicle (pictured), a dark saloon car (pictured) and a dark blue mini-van type taxi, which possibly had the company’s contact details liveried on the side in green. All three vehicles passed the scene around the time of the incident.

Even if you think you don’t have any information which could help us we would still ask that you to get in touch. Something which you may feel was insignificant could actually be very important to us."

– Det Chief Insp David Swift-Rollinson, Leicestershire Police

Police are also urging anyone with CCTV cameras or dash cams to get in touch if they saw a black Peugeot 307 or silver Vauxhall Astra in the area between 3am and 3:42am.
