Snow is falling in many parts of the midlands. Telford and Wrekin Council said light snow is starting to fall in the town. It's forecast to continue for a few hours but the authority isn't expecting it to cause any problems. They will continue to monitor the situation.

.

Lincolnshire County Council said gritters had conducted two full runs overnight to counter the threat of ice following heavy rain and wintery showers. It added the risk of isolated heavy showers throughout the night ice patches may still occur. Please take extra care at all times during this cold period.

And Dudley Council issued a warning too.

Winter showers and snow flurries are forecast for today and tonight. Our gritting crews were out last night and are monitoring today. Please drive to the conditions if you’re out and about
