Frank Lampard on England's World Cup chances

Former England star Frank Lampard said he expects the team to have a "decent run" at the World Cup in Russia.

He played for his country over 100 times, and recently took over as the manager of Derby County.

Lampard said expects England to get out of the group stage of the competition, where they were eliminated in 2018.

He added that he would "delighted" if England were to reach the quarter or semi final stages, where is "progression" for the team to build on.

I'm not sure whether we'll win it. I think this is probably a squad that has a view on the next two or three tournaments as it matures together.

I'd be delighted to see us get to the quarter finals, semi finals. Anywhere there is a progression that I think we can build on.
