An investigation is underway after a huge fire broke out at a pottery in Stoke-on-Trent.
Firefighters were called to the Emma Bridgewater site in Lichfield Street in Hanley after 6pm on Friday evening (17th August).
Smoke could be seen billowing across the city centre, as five crews dealt with the blaze.
At its height more than 25 firefighters were needed to tackle the flames. A factory spokesperson says no staff or customers were on site at the time and no one was injured.
On Saturday morning, the company confirmed it would be closed for the weekend while investigations took place, and that it would be contacted customers who had booked events there directly.
They added that the firm hoped to open the retail side of the business, including the shop and cafe, on Monday.
