A 24-year-old man has died after being assaulted in Derby city centre. Police say the man was attacked near The Bell pub on Sadler Gate early yesterday and died of his injuries in hospital. Two men, aged 29 and 45, have been arrested.

Police have released a picture of a man who died after being assaulted outside a pub in Derby.
24-year-old Ashley Finlay was assaulted near The Bell pub on Sadler Gate in the city centre on Monday. Mr Finlay, who was from Spondon, died of his injuries in hospital.
A 29-year-old man was due to appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court today charged with his murder.
