A 57 year old man has died in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, after a house explosion on Saturday night. Derbyshire Fire & Rescue attended the scene on August 11, after a reported explosion.

Police continue investigation into flat explosion

Police are continuing an investigation into an explosion at a flat in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, which has killed a man.

At around 10pm last night, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to a flat on Queen Street, Long Eaton, after a reported explosion.

Crews from Long Eaton and Ilkeston attended the scene. But tragically a 57 year old man has been confirmed as a fatality as a result of the incident.

A joint investigation with Derbyshire Constabulary is currently on-going.

Explosion kills man in Long Eaton

An explosion at a house in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, has killed a man.
