Giles hails Warwickshire determination

The Warwickshire director of cricket Ashley Giles says his players' determination to win was key in them winning the County Championship title against Worcestershire.

The Bears' victory by an innings and 202 runs made up for the heartbreak of losing out to Lancashire on the final day last season.

It was the county's first title win since 2004.

Warwickshire claimed the eight wickets required to wrap up the one-sided win shortly after lunch.

Only Moeen Ali's 72 provided any resistance to Warwickshire, but when he ran out of partners his spirited defence was brought to an end.

They've worked very hard since November last year, when we were looking for the 1% that would just take us that one step further. It's a nice feeling not to take it down to the wire at the last game like we did last season
