A year ago baby Shayne was pronounced dead by hospital staff after being born three months premature. As they prepared him for the chaplain they noticed a heart beat. Today he celebrates his first birthday.

Against all the odds Shayne is doing well after being born 3 and a half months premature. He was declared dead by nursing staff but half an hour later a faint heart beat was detected. For parents Kerry and SImon, who had been trying for a baby for 18 years, today is a very special day.
