Former Remploy workers to protest at Tory Conference
Disabled workers who have lost their jobs following the closure of Remploy factories are to stage a protest outside the Conservative Party Conference later.
Twenty-four sites were closed in August as part of government cut backs.
The Leicester and Stoke-on-Trent factories are among three more due to shut later this year and and the future of a further 18 are uncertain.

Police: 'The cuts will hit us hard'
The West Midlands Police secretary, Chris Jones, says the proposed 20% cuts to the police force will hit them hard.
Mr. Jones was speaking outside the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham, where a Boris look-a-like rode outside with a 'PC Pleb' t-shirt on in protest at alleged comments against a police officer made by Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell.

It is the third day of the Conservative Party Conference at the ICC in Birmingham.
Speakers today include the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and the newly appointed Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt.
11,000 people have arrived in the city for the event.
