Birmingham Airport has confirmed no was injured or hurt, after Monarch flight ZB467 arriving from Nice skidded off the runway.

“An incident involving Monarch flight ZB467 arriving from Nice and operated by AURELA Airlines occurred at 13.11 this afternoon.

“We can confirm the passengers left the aircraft using the steps, there were no injuries and no one was hurt.

“The airport is open with flights arriving and departing. Some flight departures may still be subject to delay; passengers should contact the airline directly.”

Flights have resumed at Birmingham Airport. They had been suspended after a plane skidded off a runaway. Passengers are being warned to expect delays.

“Crews arrived on scene following reports of an incident involving an incoming aircraft at Birmingham Airport.

“It is understood that all passengers safely disembarked from the aircraft. Ambulance crews stood-by in the terminal area of the airport in the event of any passengers requiring medical assessment and treatment.

“WMAS can confirm that no passengers were treated at the scene or taken to hospital as a result of this incident.”

All flights have been suspended from Birmingham Airport after a plane skidded off of the runway.

Monarch flight ZB467 arrived from Nice at 13.11hrs today, as the plane was taxiing down the runway it skidded off onto the grass.
