Labour MP for Leicester East Keith Vaz could face a Parliamentary investigation over reports of mystery payments into his bank account.
Mr Vaz is denying he has questions to answer following newspaper reports of Scotland Yard finding funds of almost £500,000 ten years ago it believed to be of a 'suspicious nature' during an inquiry.
Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee Keith Vaz denied he had any questions to answer after The Daily Telegraph reported that Scotland Yard found that almost £500,000 was deposited into the MPs account over a six-year-period.
Questioned by ITV News Westminister Producer Dan Hewitt the Labour MP said the money was from "the sale and purchase of a property." He refused to name the property sale, and said the full report was available to read online.
