When a teenage girl and her mum saw a shiny object while they were out walking in Peterborough, they initially thought it was a bottle top - or a twenty pence piece.
But then 13 year old Charlene Moles picked it up - and after a trip to her local museum she discovered it was a 16th century silver sixpence.
A teenager in Peterborough has found a 400-year-old coin while walking to her local shop.
Charlene Moles, aged 13, was with her mother when they found the Elizabethan money which was minted in 1575.
