Leicester Marathon

Claire Lomas from Leicestershire, who successfully completed the London Marathon with the help of a robotic suit, officially started the city's annual marathon yesterday (October 12).

Claire Lomas who was paralysed in a horse riding accident inspired thousands of other sports men and women today.

She started the Leicester marathon and Claire knows only too well how much of a challenge it is.

She has completed one herself, the London marathon using robotic legs.

The annual Leicester Marathon took place today and was officially started by Claire Lomas.

Claire Lomas from Leicestershire, who was paralysed from the chest down after a horse riding accident in 2007, successfully completed this summer's London Marathon using a robotic suit.
