Today, The National Grid opened its new £4 million training centre in Eakring, near Newark in Nottinghamshire.
The new building is part of a planned £20 million development of the centre to support 600 learners of the company.

The National Grid will officially open their new national learning centre near Newark today.
The UK High Voltage Learning Centre, which is based at Eakring in Nottinghamshire will provide students with specialist training in substation technology.
The $4 million centre will be officially opened today in front of 200 guests, including the Mayor of Newark.
