A residential home in Nottingham has closed after serious concerns were raised about the standard of its care. All 28 residents have been housed elsewhere.
Nottinghamshire Police, the City Council and the Care Quality Commission have launched investigations into the allegations at the privately owned Autumn Grange residential home

Nottingham City Council said in a statement:
"The council is considering its options as a result of the breach of contract by the provider at Autumn Grange. This action could include recovery of all costs incurred in the process of managing the transfer to new provision and any consequent costs that result from termination of the contract."
Council: 'We moved out residents to ensure their safety'
Nottingham City Council's director of adult social services said 30 residents were removed from the Autumn Grange care home in Sherwood to ensure their 'safety and wellbeing'.
"We took this action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those residents and in response to the owners of the home informing us at short notice that they intended to close the home.
"Due to serious concerns about the standard of care and the wellbeing of residents at the home, we suspended our contract with the private provider and put in a team of our own staff to manage the care of the residents over the weekend."

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Police will be speaking to former residents and their families and will work closely with partner agencies to establish if any criminal offences have taken place."
"A police investigation has been launched after concerns were raised about the standard of care provided to residents at Autumn Grange."
