Ambulance crews stand down as Oldbury factory fire is extinguished.
West Midlands Ambulance crews have stood down from the scene of the Oldbury factory fire now the blaze has been extinguished.
Paramedics from the Hazardous Area Response Team were sent into the plant, along with fire crews and a specialist engineer to turn off valves and secure the site, late last night.
The fire was declared as out at around 3am this morning (27th November).
A fire at an alcohol distillery in the Black Country has now been put out. Crews are still in attendance damping down small pockets of heat and a 100m cordon is in place around the building. Residents are being asked to stay away until later this morning
More than 100 fire fighters have been tackling a major fire at a distillery in Oldbury. It started at Alcohol Ltd on Crosswells Road in Langley Green this morning.
It spread quickly to a nearby warehouse containing chemicals. One man was hurt and more than 50 homes were evacuated. Balvinder Sidhu reports.

One evacuated resident who lives in the area now off-limits to the public as firefighters tackle a blaze, describes the moment he watched the factory roof collapse.

West Midlands Fire and Rescue service duty officer Mal Fellows says over 100 firefighters are tackling the balze raging at an alcohol factory in the Black Country.
He says there was an initial risk to people but they have now been evacuated. he added that the fire that has been burning since 10.00am spread from outside.
There is now a 200 metre cordon in place that has been extended from 100 metres.
