A cafe owner from the Leicestershire town famous for its pork pies has come up with a new twist on the famous delicacy - pork pie soup.
Nigel Keep, who runs a coffee shop in Melton Mowbray, came up with the idea while lying in bed one night. The dish has already proved a big hit with his customers as a "winter warmer" in the run-up to Christmas.

A cafe owner in Melton Mowbray has made a soup from pork pies.
The soup uses two medium sized pies from Melton Mowbray Pork Pies, the home of the pork pie, and it has been selling fast.
Nigel Keep runs the cafe and came up with the idea.
He decided to try a new twist to the local delicacy and instead of croutons on the top of the soup, he uses the pies crust.
It's been so popular that he's been sending his creation to people in York and Bradford.
