Pick of the games in League One is another West versus East clash as Shrewsbury play Notts County. But while Shrewsbury are desperate for the points to prove they can escape relegation, County have their eyes on the Championship.
In League Two, it's too early to talk about "six-pointers" but third-place Port Vale** will be desperate to beat Rotherham - one of a chasing pack which has been closing the gap on the top three in recent weeks.
West meets East in the other Championship game as Peterborough try to continue their unlikely festive fightback at Wolves. Posh shocked leaders Cardiff City before beating Bolton in an astonishing 5-4 at London Road on Saturday.
They had seemed dead and buried at the bottom of the Championship at the start of December, but now ... who knows? Wolves have now bounced back from a dreadful, win-less November which may have cost them their promotion dream.
A good win at Blackpool on Friday night has raised spirits, and fans will expect nothing less than a Boxing Day win.
The other East Midlands sides in the hunt for promotion have also suffered pre-Christmas knocks. Derby's recent charge up the table was stopped by Hull on Friday night. They'll be hoping for at least a point at Burnley who have failed to win in five games.
And if Nottingham Forest** are to keep up with the play-off pack they really need something at home to eighth place Leeds.
