A second man has been arrested connection with the murder of a 39-year-old man in Worcester.

Adrian Locke from Droitwich, was found by paramedics with stab wounds on Wednesday evening (2 January). He was confirmed dead at the scene.

On Sunday evening (6 January) a man in his 20s was arrested in Birmingham and is being held in custody at Worcester Police Station.

It follows the arrest on Friday (4 January) of another man in Birmingham who was also in his 20s. This morning, he was charged with three offences related to drug dealing and the possession of a firearm

Tributes to man stabbed in Worcester

The family of a man stabbed to death in Worcester last week have paid tribute to their ‘loveable rogue'.

On Wednesday evening (2 January), 39-year-old Adrian Locke was found with stab wounds in the Tolladine area of the city. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

His mother Lilly says:

Adie has sometimes been on the wrong side of the law, but he was a loveable rogue.

His family was his life and he was a brilliant uncle to his nieces and nephews, who idolised him. He was always generous and couldn't do enough for them.

He was a big kid himself and a real joker who was always teasing the kids with all sorts of tricks.

Worcester murder: Police given more time for questioning

Detectives have been given more time to question a man arrested in connection with the murder of a 39-year-old man in Worcester.

Police have been granted an additional 36 hours to question the man who was arrested in Birmingham in the early hours of the 4th January. He remains in custody at Worcester Police Station.

The victim, Adrian Locke, aged 39, was discovered by paramedics on Teme Road in the Tolladine area at 7.22pm on the 2nd January.

Mr Locke was confirmed dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination established the cause of death to be a stab wound to the torso.

Police name Worcester stab victim

Police have named the man who was found with multiple stab wounds outside a house in Worcester yesterday.

Adrian Locke, 39, was discovered by paramedics on Teme Road in the Tolladine area at 7.22pm after a call from members of the public.

Mr Locke, who was of no fixed abode, was confirmed dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

Police say Mr Locke, whose family are believed to be from Worcestershire, was staying with a friend when he was found outside a neighbouring property.

Leading the investigation Chief Inspector Paul Kinsella said:

"The investigation team are at a very early stage in their inquiries and need to speak to anyone who knew Adrian and who saw him yesterday.

"They are particularly interested in his whereabouts between 5pm and 7.20pm.

"We need to trace anyone who was at the scene, particularly before the emergency services arrived.

"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who saw someone or some people make off from the scene, whether that was on foot, by bike or in a vehicle."
