A teenage architect from Rugby, Warwickshire, who won a competition to design an 'eco-home of the future' will see her creative work brought to life.

Jennifer Brook was just ten years old when she designed the concept as part of a national competition.

Her work was picked from 70 other submissions by David Bellamy, an environmental campaigner and botanist. He said it was created with 'passion and knowledge'.

Four years on and two homes based on Jennifer's design are being erected today as part of an £8 million housing development in Redditch.

Jennifer, now aged 15, said: "It seems such a while ago that I sat and designed my house. It is really exciting to see the drawing come to life, so people can actually live in the house I designed.
