A man from Birmingham will appear before the city's magistrates court today accused of causing the death of a woman and her unborn child.
The woman, who is not being named by police at present, died when the car she was driving was hit on Landor Street in Birmingham city centre on Sunday.
A man and woman were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 25-year old man was arrested at the scene and was last night charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He was also charged with possession of a Class A drug with the intent to supply; possession of a Class B drug with the intent to supply; failing to stop for a police officer; driving with no license; and driving without valid insurance.
The incident happened at 1:45pm on Sunday (January 27).
Three people are in hospital following a collision on Landor Street in Birmingham.
Police were attempting to stop a Renault Laguna, which was then involved in a collision with an Audi and Ford Fiesta.
The driver of the Renault was arrested for driving and drugs offences.
Landor Street remains cordoned off as investigations continue.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
