Nottingham Panthers have celebrated their prestigious win with hundreds of fans at a Civic Reception last night.
The Lord Mayor of Nottingham hosted the event to celebrate Panthers' first Elite Ice Hockey League win since the club reformed in 1980.
The team arrived by bus in front of the Council House and then staged an immediate balcony appearance for the fans outside.
Canadian-born Panther, Brandon Benedict, said the crowd was unbelievable.
Nottingham's ice hockey stars will be honoured tonight with a Civic Reception after winning the national Elite League title.
Players and staff will travel to the city's Council House by double-decker bus this evening, before appearing on the building's balcony with the Elite League trophy.
Fans are expected to gather in front of the council building.
