We continue to investigate the stabbings and are eager to speak to witnesses.

This appears to have been a targeted attack as a result of an ongoing dispute between two families.

We need people who were inside the Bar Room Bar at the time of the incident to come forward.

We are urging anyone who saw what happened following the stabbings and especially anyone who was around the Holliday Road area, when it is believed the offender ran off towards the canals to contact us.

Police issue fresh appeal for witnesses after Mailbox stabbings

West Midlands Police have released a fresh appeal for witnesses following a double stabbing at Birmingham's Mailbox.

Five men have been arrested and bailed by police following the double stabbing at Bar Room Bar on Saturday night (6 April).

A 51 year-old and 49 year-old were treated in hospital and later released.

Police also want to speak to anyone who was near Holliday Road in Birmingham just after the stabbings.

Police investigating a double stabbing at the Mailbox have arrested a 49 year-old-man on suspicion of violent disorder.

The man from Birmingham was arrested following his release from hospital where he had been treated for a chest wound.

This is the fifth arrest police have made in connection with the incident at Bar Room Bar on Saturday night.

A 42-year-old-man, who was arrested Sunday night by police remains in hospital while he is being treated for a leg wound.

A 51-year-old man who was also arrested Sunday for violent disorder has been bailed with strict conditions while enquiries continue.

Two other men aged 18 and 20 who were arrested on Saturday night have also been bailed with conditions in connection with the incident.

It is believed the incident was as a result of an ongoing dispute between two families.

Fourth man arrested over Mailbox stabbing

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at The Mailbox in Birmingham.

The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding last night.

Three other people have already been arrested after the attack at Bar Room Bar.

A 49-year-old man, who suffered chest wounds during the incident, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

The bar where two men were stabbed last night in Birmingham remains sealed off for forensic examinations.

Three people have been arrested, one including a man with neck injuries.

The incident happened in Bar Room Bar in Birmingham's Mailbox.

Two men aged 18 and 20 were arrested in connection with the incident last night and remain in custody.

Police are still trying to trace another man who left the scene.

Police investigating a double stabbing which took place at the Mailbox last night, have arrested a further man in connection with the incident.

The 51-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested after receiving hospital treatment for a wound to his neck. He was discharged earlier today and arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A 49-year-old man, who suffered chest wounds remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police investigations into the disorder at Bar Room Bar in the Mailbox are ongoing. It is believed the incident was as a result of an ongoing dispute between two families.

Two men aged 18 and 20 were arrested in connection with the incident last night and remain in custody.

Police are still trying to trace another man who left the scene.
