– Chief Inspector Tim Metcalfe
People living in and around Awson Street will understandably be alarmed by what’s happened.
Local officers will be in the area over the coming days and I would urge anyone who has any concerns to speak to them.
– Detective Inspector Warren Hines, from Force CID
We first became concerned about the address when a man raised the alarm at Bishopsgate police station in central London.
The investigation is still in its early stages as we look to establish exactly the circumstances that led to this woman losing her life.
We’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry but I would urge anyone who has any information about what happened to come forward.
