Worcestershire CCC keep cricketers

Moeen Ali and Gareth Andrew have agreed terms for extensions to their current contracts with Worcestershire CCC.

Steve Rhodes, Director of Cricket at Worcestershire CCC said, "We're absolutely delighted that both Gareth and Moeen have agreed to the new deals. They are game changing all-rounders, and the manner in which they bat and bowl will be an important factor going forward."

"As our number one spinner, number three batsman and One-Day opener, Moeen is probably one of the most important players in the staff, so put together they are two of our key all-rounders.

"We're also proud that we are now seeing the benefits of our hard work. We put a lot of efforts in to developing these players, and it's wonderful to secure their futures at the Club."

Moeen Ali: New Road "fantastic" place

Ali moved to Worcestershire CCC for the 2007 season, and has gone on to become one of the first names on the teamsheet. During his career, he has scored eight First Class centuries.

Ali said, "When I first joined the Club many people told me what a fantastic place New Road is to play and they are right, so I am delighted to commit my long term future to the Club."

"The future for Worcestershire looks good and being a part of it excites me. I look forward to helping the Club progress back to Division One and win some trophies."

Both Moeen Ali and Gareth Andrew have agreed terms for extensions to their current contracts with Worcestershire CCC.

Ali has committed to a further five years on top of his current deal, whilst Andrew has signed up for an additional two years.
