Mark Hughes' first home match in charge of Stoke City will be against Italian side Genoa in a pre-season friendly.
The Serie A side will visit the Britannia Stadium on August 10th, a week before the Potters open their Premier League campaign against Liverpool at Anfield.
Mark Hughes is focused on "moving Stoke forward" after being named as the replacement for Tony Pulis today.
Hughes, who most recently managed QPR and was sacked by the club last November, was confirmed as the Potters' new boss on a three-year deal at a press conference.
"I'm absolutely delighted to get the opportunity," Hughes said.
Mark Hughes will be unveiled as the new manager of Stoke City at a press conference later this morning.
He will replace Tony Pulis who left the club last week.
