Fifty homes flooded

Around 50 home owners affected by a burst water pipe in Queniborough, Leicestershire, are today observing the damage caused by flooding.

The pipe which burst and flooded around fifty homes in Queniborough, Leicestershire, has been removed from the ground by repair workers.

The burst pipe flooded the main street in the village yesterday afternoon.

According to Severn Trent, the pipe has been repaired and the road will now need to be relayed.

Water company says sorry

Severn Trent has apologised to its customers after a pipe burst in Main Street in Queniborough near Syston in Leicestershire. It happened yesterday afternoon.

We worked to make sure that our customers' water supply was quickly restored and our loss adjusters continue to visit homes today to let residents know how we can help.Our work to repair the damaged water pipe is now complete and we'll now be relaying the road. While we're working the road is closed and a diversion route is in place. We'd like to thank customers for their patience during this time.
