The families of wounded servicemen and women in the Midlands will now be able to live within minutes of where their loved ones are being treated and it is thanks in part to President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
They've donated more than $100,000 to a charity which has built a home where the families can stay for free.
Today, Prince Charles was there for the official opening. This report from correspondent Mark Gough contains flash photography.
The Prince of Wales officially opened Fisher House UK today, a home for military patients and their families.
The Prince toured the house, which is supported by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the charity, Help for Heroes and the Fisher House Foundation.
Later he met staff, wounded service personnel and their families and attended a reception with supporters.
