Search and rescue teams have recovered another body from a quarry in the Malvern Hills where a teenager died last week.

West Midlands Ambulance Service are re-issuing a warning about the dangers of swimming in open water after three deaths in open water in seven days in the region.

It comes as temperatures across the region are expected to rise to 30 degrees in some parts this afternoon.

A man's body was pulled from the waters of a Gullet Quarry in Upper Colwall in Worcestershire last night , one week after teenager Russell O'Neill from Worcester lost his life while swimming in the same spot. Also yesterday the body of a man was recovered from the River Severn in Bridgnorth.

West Mercia Police and the fire service have issued a new warning about the dangers of swimming in open water after a third person has died in the West Midlands.

The latest man was pulled from the water at the Gullet Quarry in the Malvern hills this evening.

He got into difficulty at 4:45pm.

It comes just under a week after teenager Russell O'Neill from Worcester lost his life while swimming in the same spot.

Yesterday 20-year-old Damian Southall died while swimming in the River Severn at Bridgwater.

Man's body pulled from quarry in Worcestershire

A man's body has been recovered from a disused quarry in the Malvern Hills.

Rescuers from West Midlands Ambulance Service have spent the afternoon searching the Gullet quarry at Eastnor near Ledbury, after reports a man swimming in the water had got into trouble.

It comes a week after a teenager from Worcester died at the same spot. The man is the third person to die while swimming in open water in the West Midlands during the hot weather.

Rescuers are trying to locate a missing swimmer in a quarry in the Malvern Hills which last week claimed the life of a teenager from Worcester.

17-year-old Russell O'Neill lost his life last weekend swimming in the Gullet quarry near Eastnor.

This afternoon West Midlands Ambulance service were called to the disused quarry which is a popular beauty spot.

West Midlands Ambulance service are searching for a missing man who was last seen swimming in a disused quarry in Herefordshire.

It comes just under a week after teenager Russell O’Neill died while swimming at Gullet Quarry, in the Malvern Hills.
