A man who died while 25 other people were injured in a crash involving a car and double-decker bus in Walsall has been named.

Majid Hussain, 34, was driving along the Birmingham Road at around 6pm on Monday when his car hit the bus head on.

West Midlands Police are appealing for anyone who saw the silver Honda Jazz before the collision to come forward.

Man dead after car collides with bus

A man has died following a crash between a car and a bus in Walsall, yesterday evening.

The 34-year-old man was driving the car on Birmingham Road when it collided with a bus at around 6.05pm. He died at the scene.

The bus driver and a number of passengers were injured, with some taken to hospital.

The road re-opened at 11pm last night.

A man has died and eight people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a bus in Walsall.

In total, 26 people were treated by ambulance staff.

The collision happened near the County Hotel on the Birmingham Road at around 6:05pm.

Six ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and two paramedic officers were called to the scene.
