Villagers worried about disruption caused by HS2

Residents from Marston in Staffordshire are protesting in Stafford, worried their village will be spoilt by the new HS2 high speed rail line.

HS2 Limited says it is doing all it can to minimise any environmental impact and that the project will boost the economy by billions of pounds a year.

But villagers say the £50billion project will devastate their community. They claim there will be no economic benefit locally because no trains will stop in Staffordshire and are calling on the county council to oppose it.

Bob Gasch organised the protest in Staffordshire.
